Ian Kadish

My name is Ian Kadish and I recently graduated from Marshall University with a degree in Business Management and minors in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have three younger brothers, Kendall, Max, and Cooper. I have played baseball my entire life and am lucky enough to have the opportunity to continue playing for the Toronto Blue Jays.

I want to thank my Mom and Dad for everything they have ever done to further my baseball career. They have gone through a tremendous amount of work to make sure I am happy and I couldn't thank them enough! I love you guys.

Community Service

The Blue Jays are new to the Bluefield area.  The Baltimore Orioles used to have an affiliation in Bluefield until their contract ran out.  When they did not renew the contract, the Blue Jays signed a contract with Bluefield.

Since the Blue Jays are new to the area, it is very important that we make an impact in the community.  Last week for instance, the team went to the local bowling alley and bowled with little kids for a couple hours.  You would be surprised how many little kids showed up.  Every player was assigned to a lane and the kids were assigned to a lane.  All we had to do was bowl with them for a couple hours and hang out.

We will be doing activities like that throughout the summer to stay involved in the community and develop a relationship with the people of Bluefield.  It is vital that the Blue Jay name has a positive reputation as well as gain support from the community.  If the community does not back the team, there will be no support and the team will not have a long lifespan in the city.  Our coach always says, we come in with a reputation and we leave with a reputation and the reputation we leave with is for us to make, whether it be good or bad (in this case, hopefully its a good one)...
